Sponsors support a child with a $20 a month donation which covers two school uniforms and pairs of shoes, a book bag and all school supplies for the year. It also includes a small monthly stipend for the family.
Interested in sponsoring a child? You may choose a child from the list below. You can donate online, or by sending a check to Compas de Nicaragua, 5 Rogers Street, Plymouth, NH 03264. In the check memo, or under 'message of support' on our online donation page, please write “sponsorship” and the name of the child if you have a preference. Please also include your e-mail address, so that we can contact you with updates about your sponsored child.
Compas will update you 3 times a year with pictures and letters, as well as videos of your sponsored child. You may send your own pictures and letters via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will share them with your sponsored child.

Nayara de los angeles Rocha Urbina
Nayara is 10 years old and lives with her grandmother. She will be starting third grade in February when school starts again. Unfortunately, last year she wasn't able to finish her school year as she was living for a time in Costa Rica where the schools were closed and she wasn't able to matriculate into a school. Her grandmother isn't able to work, so she hopes to find a sponsor who can help her with her education expenses.
Camilo is 8 years old and will be going into second grade next year when school begins in February. He likes playing soccer and playing with his friends. He hopes to have a sponsor to help his family with his education expenses.
Nathalie Tatiana gamboa
Tatiana lives with her mother, stepfather and her little brother in a small house in La Primavera, Managua. She loves to dance folklore, and has performed at her school and several events, including the end of year party of Women in Action. She hopes to be able to participate in one of Compas de Nicaragua's US dance tours in the future.

Isaac is 8 years old and will be starting 1st grade in February. He has an older brother who is 11 years old and they live with their mother. His father left the family and her mother struggles to cover the costs of her sons education. Isaac hopes to find a sponsor to help his mother with his education expenses.

Mileydi is 13 years old and will be graduating from sixth grade this month. She will start her first year of secondary school in February. She is very thankful that Compas has been able to help her with her basic education costs even though she doesn't yet have a sponsor. However, she hopes to find a sponsor so that she can receive the benefit of sponsorship, which includes all the uniforms, shoes, book bag and school supplies so that her family can save more money for food and other necessities.

Luis is 9 years old and will be entering 4th grade when school begins in February. He is a very good student who enjoys going to school and studying. He received very high marks this past school year. He hopes someone can sponsor him to help his family with his education expenses so he can continue to study and become a professional someday.
Julia is 11 years old and will start 5th grade in February. She enjoys going to class and studying and spending time with her friends. She also likes to read and listen to music. Her family hopes someone can sponsor her and help her with her studies. Julia is one of the best students in her class.

Steven lives with his mother, grandmother and 2 aunts. He is 13 years old and will be starting 7th grade in February. Steven loves art and handicrafts. He also enjoys dancing and has performed in his school and at the Women in Action Center.. He hopes to find a sponsor to help his family with his education expenses.
