MEET "BARRANQUITO", THE NEW MASCOT FOR pEACEFUL nATURE RESERVE

"Barranquito" was recently designed by a group of students at the Nicaragua Autonomous University as part of a nationwide program of connecting students to small businesses, farms and wildlife reserves to help with technical support and give students hands-on education and opportunities to practice their studies.   The objective for the mascot is to ensure a coherent, authentic, and functional representation across media, educational activities, and promotional materials, thus strengthening the mascot's role as a symbol of conservation, identity, and environmental education.  Barranquito will be used in promotions, signs, activity invitations, and in announcements and information about caring for the environment. Barranquito will share stories of nature, guide visitors along the reserve's trails, and teach them how to care for nature!
