jOHNSON AND kRUMPOTICH FAMILY SERVICE TRIP

In November 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting the Johnson and Krumpotich Family on a service trip.  The group stayed at the Maya Nut Hotel on the Peaceful Nature Reserve and worked to build a house for a family in La Paz, paint several nature trail signs and create a mural on the hotel wall.  The group also had the opportunity to participate in a coffee workshop to exchange ideas and experiences with coffee farmers and coffee shops and to meet with university students studying English who visited the Peaceful Nature Reserve.  There was also time for some sightseeing with visits to the Katarina volcano and volcanic lake overlook, the city of Granada and a chocolate tour, and an indigenous herb garden.  The group also enjoyed a nature and bird watching tour at the Reserve, as well as swimming in the natural pool.
