The Daughters of Corn Dance Troupe will be returning to the U.S. this fall! The fall 2018 tour is scheduled from September 9th through November 2nd, 2018. The dancers will bring not only the beauty of their dancing, but also the inspirational story of their lives and their important work to help families in their communities.
“What a wonderful organization, talented dancers and lovely people you've brought to our community. I am completely blown away by your program and the difference you're making in people's lives. I think what is most striking is that you are able, on the one hand, to offer critical aid and support but, on the other hand, you are facilitating the inner strength and resilience of the (Nicaraguan) people to step into the lives they'd like to live. The authentic empowerment of your work is what makes it particularly remarkable.” Elizabeth Stookey Sunde, Founder & Creative Director, Music2Life, Wilder, VT (www.music2life.org)
The troupe will visit 7 states, perform at over 25 performances, and also carry out several dance workshops and classroom visits to share their stories and the work of Compas. Please check back in a few weeks for a calendar of events and performances! We look forward to seeing you during the tour!
