Internship Program Cost

*The program fee includes two weeks of immersion Spanish lessons.  If you are efficient or fluent in Spanish, you may opt out of the Spanish lessons.

Program fee includes:
-Accommodations (separate living space, 3 meals a day, and bottled water with your host family)
-Transportation (airport pick up/drop off and transport for all planned activities/excursions)
-Pre/post-orientation sessions and materials
-Meetings/visits to schools, health centers, and organizations
-Planned weekly activities/excursions, enrichment activities, and project work (see sample itinerary)
-Project donation (to install one bio-gas system and three gray water systems)
-Monitoring and evaluation throughout the internship
-24 hour emergency assistance

Program fee does NOT include:
-International airfare to and from Managua
-Tourist visa and departure tax
-Required vaccinations
-Required traveler's insurance
-Snack, souvenirs, and other discretionary purchases

Compas is committed to supporting sustainable development efforts in Nicaragua.  A portion of your program fee is donated to your host organization.  When you intern with Compas, you not only support development efforts with your time and knowledge, but you also provide much needed economic support.
